And in case you haven’t met me yet…
I’m Dr. Patricia Thompson, and I’m a corporate psychologist who helps leaders engage and inspire their people by teaching them how to develop their talents, unleash their authentic selves, and use research-based strategies to help others fulfill their potentials. On my way to getting my PhD, I was educated at the University of Toronto, Georgia State University, the University of Pennsylvania, and the Emory University School of Medicine. I’ve won awards for teaching, research, and being a general over-achiever in the classroom.
For the past 10+ years I have been consulting with organizations ranging from small businesses on up to Fortune 500 companies, helping them to foster growth, development, and results in their people. I get a great deal of personal gratification from helping people, whether it is a college student determining his career path, an entry level manager working on being more productive, a CEO determining how best to motivate the people on her team, or a random person needing directions on the street. I LOVE what I do, and am committed to helping you get the best outcomes possible.
Why I Created the Program
I created The Management Essentials Online Course to help new leaders to feel more confident and be more effective in their roles. As an executive coach, I work with a lot of individuals, and am all too familiar with the insecurity and feelings of overwhelm that can go along with leadership.
Because I know that everyone doesn’t have the luxury of being able to work one-on-one with an executive coach, I decided to put together a program that would provide lots of information, resources, and step-by-step guidance to help people to develop into outstanding leaders. It’s my passion, and I’m proud to be able to share this course with you.
In my work, I have seen the effects of great leadership.
Great leadership elevates people, inspires them, and allows teams to accomplish audacious goals.
It is truly a beautiful thing, and I want to cultivate more of that in the world. But the course isn’t about me talking. It’s about you learning, experimenting with new behaviors, and growing, both personally and professionally.
